Getting the puzzle ready for you…

One grid, several screens

Multiplayer sudoku: solve one together, each on your own screen

Fill in a sudoku with two or more people at the same time: you share one room code, and every digit someone puts down appears for the others right away. Free, without installing anything, and without an account if you prefer.

How multiplayer sudoku works

You simply start on your own: pick a level and you are in the puzzle. Want someone to join? Press Share. You get a room with the same sudoku, your digits come along, and you get a short code and a link to send. Whoever opens it joins in, on a phone too.

In the room everyone has their own color, so you see who filled in what. You also see where the others are: a thin border around the square someone is looking at right now. That way you do not work on the same box twice.

Talking it over while you play

Next to the grid there is a chat, and with Ping you make a square light up for everyone for ten seconds: "something is going on here". That is often faster than explaining it.

If the whole room is stuck, Hint is the button to press: the next logical step shows up for everyone, with the squares around it lit up. Everyone reads the same explanation, so you learn from it together. What that button does exactly is on how to solve sudoku.

Notes in a room

Candidates in a square work together too: what you put down as a note, the others see. Up to four digits per square, small in the corners. The owner of the room can turn on two handy extras: fill in the notes automatically, and make a candidate disappear automatically as soon as that digit is really placed somewhere.

Would you rather play without notes? The owner can turn them off for the whole room. The button then disappears for everyone.

Joining someone else

No one to play with? You can join a public room. The overview of public rooms shows for each room how far along they are and whether there is still a seat. One click and you are in.

It works the other way too: make your own room public and someone can join. Want only your friends in it? The visibility can also be set to "friends".
