Getting the puzzle ready for you…

A new sudoku every day

Daily sudoku: a free new sudoku every day

Every day there is one sudoku ready, the same one for everyone. The level follows the week: very easy on Monday, expert by Friday. Solve it yourself or fill it in together.

What is the daily sudoku?

At midnight a new sudoku arrives, and that day everyone plays the same one. Free in your browser, without installing anything or making an account. It starts just for you: no room, no name to fill in. Want to do it together? The share button turns it into a room, and your digits come along.

The level depends on the day of the week. Monday starts very easy and it builds up to expert on Friday; on the weekend it gets a little calmer again. The tile shows which level is waiting today, so you know what you are getting into.

Building a streak

Every day you solve gets a check mark in the monthly overview, a calendar next to the tile. Skip a day and it stays there: you can still play older days later.

Your sudoku streak is separate from your crossword streak. Solving a sudoku changes nothing about your crossword streak, and the other way around. With an account the streak counts on all your devices; without one, this device keeps track of it.

The daily sudoku together

Press Share in the game: you get a room with the same sudoku, your digits come along, and you send the code or the link to someone. Whoever opens it joins right away and sees your digits appear. There is more about that on multiplayer sudoku.

When you finish it, the day counts for everyone who took part. That makes it a nice daily habit with someone far away: put a call on and it is almost like sitting at the same table.

How to play today’s sudoku

  1. Go to the sudoku page. At the top is the tile with the date, today’s level and the clock until the next one.
  2. Press Play. You are in the sudoku right away. Already started today? Then you pick up where you left off.
  3. Stuck? Press Hint. It explains in three small steps which move follows logically, without filling in the digit for you. How that works is on how to solve sudoku.

In the mood for something other than today’s sudoku? Pick a level yourself on the sudoku page, or go for a hard sudoku.
